Ya ya biryani is layered and all that jazz. 🙂

This video by #hebbarskitchen is out of this world..& they made this awesome aloo biryani..I modified it to egg biryani..and added rose water & kewra water..

for frying aloo:
  • 7 baby potatoes, washed and pealed
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
for curd mixture:
  • 1 cup curd / yogurt, thick and fresh
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp biryani masala
  • ½ tsp fennel, crushed
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp salt
for dum aloo biryani:
  • 3 tbsp oil / ghee
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 star anise
  • 3 cardamom / elaichi
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 ½ cup basmati rice, soaked
  • 1 tbsp saffron milk
  • few mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
  • ¼ cup fried onions / barista
  • 1½ cup water
frying aloo recipe:
  1. firstly, in a large bowl take baby potatoes.
  2. soak in for atleast 15 minutes in salt water.
  3. in a cooker add 4 tbsp of oil along with chilli powder and turmeric.
  4. fry the soaked potatoes for 2 minutes.
curd mixture recipe:
  1. firstly, in a bowl take 1 cup of thick curd.
  2. add chilli powder, turmeric powder, biryani masala, fennel powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt and mix well.
dum aloo biryani recipe:
  1. firstly, in a cooker add 3 tbsp of oil / ghee.
  2. add spices like bay leaf, star anise, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.
  3. now add the prepared curd mixture.
  4. place fried potatoes in it and spread soaked rice. add saffron milk.
  5. place mint leaves and coriander leaves.
  6. after that, sprinkle fried onions / barista.
  7. furthermore, add 1½ cup of water.
  8. then pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  9. finally, serve dum aloo biryani

Saw one of those ‘tasty’ videos.. urgent urge to make it..

Vada paav buns, stir fried mushrooms (basil oil & garlic mein), stir fried sausage pieces, some spinach leaves, grated cheese & scrambled eggs.

Thoda butter, minced garlic & minced basil leaves ka basting😎😎

Ovened it for 15 mins. Home filled with awesome garlic butter fragrance😍😍

Burnt potato onion Soup 

I burnt them by mistake ..😂😂

Olive oil, minced garlic, chopped onions, pepper powder, mashed potatoes with peel, a little cheat cheese, milk..left it for 10 mins on high..you home was filled with beautiful burnt potato fragrance.

Later added the water I used to boil the potatoes..

Drumsticks and tomatoes with coarse chopped coriander 

I suck at garnishing and fancy names..but one must feed ones minion. That’s not a soft toy its a minion (who is happy)

Boil Drumsticks with salt n jaldi. Heat oil, add hing, mustard seeds, chopped tomatoes, mirchi and dhaniya pwd..stir fry..add chopped potatoes..and Drumsticks…then lots of chopped coriander leaves.. garnish ..

Cook till.done..
