Charred Chicken Breasts-Well nearly tandoori chicken types

Charred Chicken Breasts
…A version of tandoori chicken..
You’ll need:
2-3 chicken breasts
1 1/2 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp yellow chilli powder
1/2 cup cheese
Half a handful yogurt
1/2 tsp roasted gram flour powder
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
1/2 tsp yellow chilli powder
A pinch of mace [javitri] powder
1/2 tsp black rock salt
Handful of coriander leaves
1 Tbsp oil
Method: Mix garlic, ginger and yellow chilli powder to make a marinade.
Coat the cubed chicken thighs well with the marinade and leave it to rest for a while.
In a bowl add cheese and yogurt and mix well till it attains a paste-like consistency.
To this, add gram flour, green cardamom powder, yellow chilli powder, mace powder, nutmeg powder and mix well.
Now add black rock salt, coriander leaves, oil and mix well again.
Finally add the chicken to this mix and make sure the marinade coats all the pieces well. SUPER HEAT an iron griddle- yes I mean it. Evenly sprinkle oil onto the chicken pieces and lay them out on the griddle. It should sizzle. Let it cook for about 7-8 minutes, till it chars. Sprinkle more oil on the chicken and turn it over. Again cook for about 7-8 minutes till it chars- we our food charred wink emoticon If you prefer, the chicken pieces can be charred a bit more over direct heat over the gas, with the help of a pair of tongs.. [You could also grill/bake this chicken prep as per your oven/microwave-oven’s settings] and Your Charred Chicken is done!
